My @Quora answer to What do you wish your taxes didn’t pay for, and why? http://qr.ae/7JptIF
1) Corporate Welfare/Corporate Prisons
*Nods and tips hat* to Shane Bogusz for answering the issue of corporate prisons so well
2) Wages and benefits for a Congress that’s willing to furlough workers for political showmanship.
Interesting little factoid about this…Per CBO and SSA, and DOL Since 1968 Congress has moved their wages from $12,500 (Today’s $62,000) which was the 4th Quintile of wage earners to $174,000 which is the 5th Quintile.
In that same period of time Minimum wage has gone from $3328 (today’s $26,645) which was the Lowest Quintile in salary to $15,080 which is BELOW the Lowest… Had Congress done the SAME THING with Minimum Wage that they did for their own (Greedy) selves Minimum wage WOULD BE $19.11 per hour or $39,750.00 per year.
3) Corporate Welfare (it bears repeating)
Government Spends More on Corporate Welfare Subsidies than Social Welfare Programs
Interesting factoid: In 2006 About $59 Billion was spent on Traditional Welfare Programs while we spent $92 Billion (or TWICE what we spend on our poorest Citizens) on Corporate Welfare! Want to “Fix” the “welfare problem”..?? Delete Corporate Subsidies from the Budget and move ALL of that money to Welfare Programs and Schools!
4) Wars based upon LIES (Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney)
Cost $1.5 Trillion…So far… That we KNOW of! For LIES and Corporate prophets (oops… I mean profits)
5) Wages and benefits for USAsG who refuse to do their damned JOBS by not
using the RICO Act against criminal, fraudulent, bankers (Citi, Wells Fargo, UBS, Chase)
Campaign Contributors The Wall Street bankers that brought you President Obama™ love NEW PRESIDENT™!
The same Wall Street recipients of TARP bailout money that were top Obama donors in 2008 are top Romney donors in 2012. Why?
Just like the Original President, the “New” President
Supported TARP Wall Street bailout program.
Opposes immediately balancing the federal budget.
Has a track record of being a big spender and a big-government advocate while in office.
Opposes a full audit of the Federal Reserve.
Supports taxpayer-funded bailouts of corporations.
Wants to keep personal income tax rates at the exact same levels for the vast majority of Americans.
Will increase defense spending
Believes the President can take the country to war without approval from Congress.
And you WONDER WHY the Big Bank Mafia didn’t get prosecuted AT ALL??!!
6) Wages and benefits for presidents and Members of Congress who foment treason by exempting multinational corporations from the Rule of Law (All members of Congress and Mr. Obama.. TPP and TTIP)
I regard these actions by Congress, when considered with their Oaths to be TREASON against the Nation and her Citizens, and the Constitution they SWORE to protect.
Here’s a handy little definition of treason from Wiki:
Oran’s Dictionary of the Law (1983) defines treason as “…[a]…citizen’s actions to help a foreign government overthrow, make war against, or seriously injure the [parent nation].” In many nations, it is also often considered treason to attempt or conspire to overthrow the government, even if no foreign country is aiding or involved by such an endeavor.
7) Wages and benefits for “Regulatory” Agencies which refuse to follow their Charters.
8) NSA, and all the other rogue alphabet psychos.
Which directly and intentionally violate the 4th, 5th , and 6th Amendments to the Constitution.
9) FISA (kangaroo) Courts.
Which directly and intentionally violate the 1st, 4th, 5th and 6th Amendments to the US Constitution.
10) The Fannie and Freddie loan guarantees which bailed out criminal bankers.
If you’re not outraged, you are NOT paying attention!
