How we can understand politics?

Follow the money!

Answer by Kris Rosvold:

Simple. Every single time any politician speaks, or presents "evidence" of anything ask this one Question of them, and of yourself: "Cui Bono?!"

This roughly translates to "Who benefits from this?" Or "Who profits from this?"

Then do a bit of research on who's funding that politician (and their party brass), with your Question in mind at:

OpenSecrets.org

MapLight.org

Then do a bit of research on how that politician voted, with your Question in mind at:

MapLight.org

PublicCitizen.org

Pogo.org

Ctj.org

Then… connect the dots.
