What are the health implications (if there are any) of long-term sustained consumption of water from water bottles?

Answer by Kris Rosvold:

We don't know.  It's (most carefully) never been studied.  That's the problem.

What we DO know is that BPH is an endocrine disruptor,  and that in humans it mimics estrogen.
We also know that it WILL leach from the package into the liquid/food, especially if they're heated together.

This kinds of issues are also true for many of the (intentionally, carefully, NOT independently tested) plasticizers, flavorings, colorings and preservatives used in the "food" manufacturing industry.

That's the entire problem.
The US "regulators" rubber stamp manufacturers assertions of safety with out actually testing anything for actual safety.  Thanks for nothing guys!
